Perfection is a trippy word.

Nowadays, in case you didn't already know, we can tell a lot about babies before they're even born. They have screening tests to detect certain medical problems. The parents can find out, with significant certainty, whether or not their baby will be born with Down syndrome.
An estimated 90% of unborn babies with Down syndrome are aborted.
There are so many things wrong with this picture.
People with Down syndrome aren't perfect, but what human being can say they are?
I understand completely that there are families who simply cannot care for a child with Down syndrome, but that's the beauty of adoptive families. There is a huge amount of families wanting to adopt children with Down syndrome!
They are as happy if not happier than any other person. They deserve a chance at life, just like everyone else.
