So many essays, so many friend sessions, wow.
I've been having so much fun in the past month, despite all the stress. Many things have happened!
First and foremost, my parents surprised me with my "graduation" present, a trip to Italy the summer after I graduate! Don't get us wrong, we're by NO means rich or have disposable money floating around in our pockets. My parents are making an incredible sacrifice to send me! Words can't even explain my excitement, I never thought I'd get to travel to Europe; at least not until I'm much older. Here's the low-down:
Two of my teachers, Mr and Mrs. Staude, take students to Italy every year, hitting a TON of major cities and sites.
WOW right? I'm still trying to process the fact that I'm going to Italy!!
Second, my friend Caleb and I got together this past weekend and scrounged up a song that's pretty darn good. It's all about filling up what is lacking in Christ's afflictions, from Colossians 1:24. It's pretty darn neat. I'm not usually into rap music, but Caleb has really gotten me to appreciate it more. Basically, the chorus is sung by both of us with myself playing guitar, and Caleb raps the verses. It's really amazing. Caleb has a ginormous talent for writing lyrics, and when he's famous one day I'll have this song I wrote with him. :D
